Delete Your Account
You can delete your CipherShift account and everything attached to it at any time. This is a real deletion, not a deactivation, and you do not need to contact us first.
In the app
- Open CipherShift and tap the menu icon in the top corner of the home screen.
- Choose Delete Account at the bottom of the menu.
- Type DELETE, enter your password and confirm.
Works on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Linux.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, or would rather not use it, email us from the address on your account and ask for deletion. We carry out the same deletion and confirm when it is done.

- Your private server is destroyed at the hosting provider.
- Your sessions, tunnel keys and device registrations are revoked.
- Your email address and account record are erased.
- RevenueCat is instructed to delete the subscription data it holds for you.
Deletion completes within 30 days. The only thing that survives is the payment transaction record held by Apple, Google or our payment processor, where law requires it to be kept. It does not contain your VPN activity, because we do not log any.
Before you delete
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your Apple or Google subscription settings, or it will keep renewing.
Deleting is irreversible. Your server, its IP address and your keys are gone for good. A new account starts from scratch.
